God is a Spirit (Jn 4:24) whom no man has seen (Jn 1:18) but reveals Himself in a complexity of ways according to Scripture: Elohim which means Creator – Almighty, Powerful God;  Jehovah (Hb. Yahweh) which means Self-Existent One;  (Hb. Adonai) which means Master, Husband or Lord;  (Aramaic, “Abba”) which means Father;   One Lord (Deut. 6:4); Our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1);  A consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29);  Light ( 1 Jn 1:5);  Love (1 Jn 4:8);  Triune (three personalities which are one – I Jn 5:7) - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

 Jesus was sent by God (born into humanity – I Jn 4:9) to be the sinless sacrifice for the sins of believing humanity (2 Cor 5:21).   He was the express image (Heb 1:3) of God, the master of disciples who modeled the work of the church on earth (Matt 9:35).  Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and resurrected from the grave to accomplish the redemption of all who believe (2 Cor 13:4  +  Col 1:14).  Even in the presence of an adversary (I Pet 5:8) Jesus now serves as our:   Shepherd (Ps 23:1, I Pet 2:25), Advocate (I Jn 2:1), Intercessor (Rom 8:34),  Mediator(I Tim 2:5) ,High Priest (Heb 4:15).

The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Godhead (Trinity – I Jn 5:7/2 Cor 13:14).  He effected the birth of Christ and took part in creating both the earth and man.  The Holy Spirit moves among men and women and empowers them to do the work of God.  He convicts of sin (Jn 16:8-9), Leads to confession of Jesus Christ (I Cor 12:3), brings about the new birth (Jn 3:3-6), baptizes into the body of Christ (I Cor 12:13), sanctifies (Rom 15:16), equips for holy living (Rom 8:13), empowers for witnessing (Acts 1:8), assists us in praying (Rom 8:26), lives in us (I Cor 3:16), Leads us (Rom 8:14), teaches, reveals, and comforts (John 14:26, John 16:13).  Christians should expect to be both baptized and continually filled with the Holy Spirit (Mk 1:8, Eph 5:18).

Man was created in the image of God for God’s purpose or exercising authority over His creation (Gen 1:26-27).  He is a tripartite being, possessing a spirit, soul, and body (I Thess 5:23).  Upon submitting to sin, man took on the nature of Satan, died a spiritual death and passed this nature to every generation (Rom 5:12,19).   We believe in the reality of Satan (Job 1:7 and Matthew 4:1-11), and that he was cast to the earth according to Isaiah 14:12-14 and Revelation 12:3-9 and exists to tempt man.  One third of the angels were cast out of heaven with Satan (referred to as demons). On the contrary, the angels are spirit beings (Hebrews 1:4) that serve as messengers of God and bring assistance to believers and worship and serve God’s purposes on earth and in heaven. (Ps 103, 148:1-2, Revelation 7:1, 22:9, Acts 12:5-10).

Sin is described in the Bible as transgression of the law of God (I John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7, Joshua 1:18).  Sin had its beginning with Lucifer because of his discontentment with his position. He was not content being subservient to God.  Satan brought sin to the human race in the Garden of Eden through the temptation of Adam and Eve.  Romans 5:12 tells us that sin entered the world through Adam and death was passed on to all men.  The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23).  Salvation, on the other hand deals with the removal of the consequences (penalty, power and ultimately the presence) of sin (Rom 6:23).  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).  For it is by grace that we have been saved (Eph 2:8), and not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. Romans 10:9 indicates that it is by confession with the mouth that one believes in his heart that Jesus is Lord that one becomes saved.

Baptism:  is the unity, identity, and act of solidarity with Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 4:5 indicates that there is one baptism. There are three biblical aspects (according to it’s agency) to this baptism:  (Baptism in water, Baptism into the body of Christ, and Baptism in the Holy Spirit).

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6 and that it is the seal of the new covenant relationship according to Eph 1:13, 4:30 and 2 Cor 1:22.  Speaking in other tongues is an accompanying sign of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Mark 16:17).  We also hold that the evidence of the “baptism” (or referred to as the “infilling” of the Holy Spirit is one’s response to the Word of God, a Christ-like life, showing forth Christ’s character, nature, and experiencing and manifesting the fruit of the Holy Spirit (See also John 15:26, 16:14, Gal 5>22-23; Eph 5:18-21).

The church is the Body of Christ expressed as the church individual, local, universal and invisible (all saints of all places and all times united together under one Lord, Jesus Christ.  The basis of our fellowship is Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.  The church is more than a building or a gathering of people.  It is a body living in relationship and harmony under the direction of the head, Jesus Christ.  See (Eph 2:13-22, 4:3-6 and I John 1:6-7). The local church is the community and fellowship of God expressed.  See the following:  I Cor 6:15, II Cor 1:1, Rom 16:5, I Pet 2:4-5, Eph 2:19-22, I Cor 12:12-31, Rom 12:4-5, Eph 4:11-16). John 14:12 declare of the church “greater works shall you do…”

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in its original manuscript, absolutely infallible and our source of supreme revelation from God.  The Word of God is superior to human conscience and reason and not contrary to reason (see: II Tim 3:16-17; I Pet 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12).

The church is intentionally structured as an “Autonomous and Indigenous entity with no other church or organization having authority or control over it.

Worship shall be conducted with the total being (Ps 150:6) – engaging the mouth, hands, dance, instruments, gifts, etc., in a variety of forms:  sitting, bowing down (according to definition) and laying prostrate and with the life in and outside of the sanctuary and church service (See:  Eph 5:18-19, Rev 1:17, Psalm 150, and Acts 24:14).

Deliverance is freedom from bondage, either mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual, associated with demonic activity or spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12).  God desires deliverance for His people in accordance with (Job 5:19, Ps 91:3, 2 Tim 4:13, Heb 2:15, 2 Pet 2:9).  According to the Word of God, (Mk 16:17, John 14:12, I Cor 12:8-11, Acts 1:8), we have been granted authority and power from Jesus Christ – in the name of Jesus to secure deliverance using the Word of God as our authority and weapon (Eph 6:12).

We believe in divine healing being a covenant right obtained through the atonement in Christ’s sacrificial death (I Peter 2:24-25 and Isaiah 53:4-5). See also, Acts 4:30, 19:11, Romans 8:11, I Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14).

We believe in the personal, imminent and pre-millenial return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the bodily resurrection of all mankind; those who have been saved by faith in Christ out of every age in time will dwell forever with Christ in heaven; those who have rejected Christ will spend eternity in the lake of fire (hell) along with the devil and his angels (see, Daniel 12:2, Matt 25:46, John 5:28-29, 6:40, Acts 24:15, I Cor 15:12-28, 35-54, I Pet 5:4, Rev 20:1-15, 21:21).

Matthew 24 (esp. vv. 5-8)  discuss signs of the end times in which we believe that Christ will remove all born-again believers from the earth in an event known as the rapture (I Thessalonians 4:13-18;  and I Corinthians 15:51-54).  The Bible records Jesus saying that He will come again and receive us unto Himself (John 14:3).  This time refers to the time of the judgment seat of Christ at which believers will be rewarded for good works and faithful service during their time on earth or will lose rewards, but not eternal life, for lack of service and obedience (I Cor 3:11-15; 2 Cor 5:10).  In the end times, Jesus will return to destroy the antichrist and his armies and cast them into the lake of fire according to Revelation 19:11-21).
